Key Responsibilities
- Process purchase orders accurately and efficiently from requisition to placement.
- Track and monitor orders from various suppliers, ensuring timely delivery.
- Liaise directly with suppliers to clarify order details, resolve discrepancies, and manage lead times.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records, databases, and filing systems.
- Reconcile invoices with purchase orders and delivery notes, resolving any invoicing issues.
- Assist in the research and selection of new suppliers and evaluate existing supplier performance.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and provide status updates.
- Identify and suggest opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the procurement function.
- Prepare basic procurement reports and analyses as required by the management team.
- Handle general administrative tasks within the procurement department to ensure smooth operations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 1 year) in an administrative, purchasing, or procurement support role.
