Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled roofers in all aspects of roofing installation, repair, and maintenance.
- Safely load, unload, and transport roofing materials (shingles, tiles, insulation, tools) to and from work sites and roofs.
- Prepare work areas by setting up safety equipment, scaffolding, and ensuring clear access.
- Perform general site cleanup, debris removal, and maintain an organised work environment.
- Operate various hand and power tools common in roofing (e.g., hammers, drills, circular saws) under supervision and safely.
- Help with the removal of old roofing materials and proper disposal.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform demanding manual labour, including lifting heavy materials and working at heights.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety practices and commitment to safe working conditions.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Basic communication skills in German or English to understand instructions and interact with the team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience (even minimal) in roofing or general construction.
- Knowledge of basic hand and power tools.
- Valid German driving license (Class B) is advantageous.
- First aid certification.
