Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process samples for various laboratory experiments and analyses according to established protocols.
- Perform routine laboratory tests and experiments under the guidance of senior scientists and researchers.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration, cleanliness, and functionality; troubleshoot minor issues as needed.
- Accurately record and document experimental data, observations, and results in lab notebooks and electronic systems.
- Assist with inventory management of laboratory supplies, reagents, and chemicals, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper storage.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, quality control standards, and regulatory guidelines to ensure a safe and compliant working environment.
- Contribute to the general upkeep, organization, and cleanliness of the laboratory space.
- Participate actively in team meetings, contributing to discussions on research progress, experimental design, and data interpretation.
- Learn and implement new laboratory techniques, methodologies, and procedures as required for ongoing projects.
- Support the R&D team in various ad-hoc tasks, administrative duties, and special projects as they arise.
Required Skills
- Associate's degree or Diploma in Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a closely related scientific field.
- Basic understanding of laboratory safety procedures and best practices for chemical handling and waste disposal.
- Proficiency in using standard laboratory equipment such as pipettes, centrifuges, pH meters, and microscopes.
- Strong attention to detail, precision, and accuracy in all experimental procedures and data collection.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a diverse research team.
- Proficient in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for documenting results and interacting with colleagues.
