Key Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and control water treatment plant equipment and processes daily to ensure efficient and compliant operations.
- Conduct routine chemical, physical, and biological tests on water samples to assess quality and identify treatment needs.
- Adjust chemical dosages, flow rates, and filtration processes based on test results and operational demands.
- Perform preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and calibrations on equipment such as pumps, valves, motors, and instrumentation.
- Maintain accurate and detailed operational logs, records, and data entries for compliance and reporting.
- Respond promptly to alarms, system malfunctions, and emergency situations, troubleshooting and resolving issues effectively.
- Ensure strict adherence to all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to optimize plant performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Inspect facilities regularly to identify potential problems and ensure clean, safe working conditions.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Water Treatment Operator or in a similar industrial operational role (minimum 2 years).
- Solid understanding of water treatment processes, principles of water chemistry, and microbiology.
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining various water treatment plant equipment.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and process control diagrams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of making quick, informed decisions.
- Excellent attention to detail and a steadfast commitment to safety and quality.
- Basic computer literacy for data entry, monitoring systems, and report generation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in English and German (reading, writing, and speaking).
