Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming products against delivery notes and purchase orders.
  • Organise and store inventory in designated locations, ensuring optimal space utilisation and easy retrieval.
  • Maintain precise inventory records using our warehouse management system (WMS) or similar software.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile any discrepancies, investigating root causes for variances.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare products for dispatch, adhering to strict quality and accuracy standards.
  • Liaise with the dispatch team to ensure timely and correct loading of goods for shipment.
  • Monitor stock levels and report any shortages or overstocks to relevant departments.
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., pallet trucks, stackers, if certified).
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics and supply chain operations.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Stock Controller, Warehouse Operative, or similar role.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Proficiency with inventory management systems (WMS/ERP) and basic computer skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Problem-solving capabilities to address inventory discrepancies and operational challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Forklift truck licence (reach and/or counterbalance).
  • Experience with specific WMS/ERP platforms.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations within a warehouse environment.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced distribution or logistics setting.
