Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming products against delivery notes and purchase orders.
- Organise and store inventory in designated locations, ensuring optimal space utilisation and easy retrieval.
- Maintain precise inventory records using our warehouse management system (WMS) or similar software.
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile any discrepancies, investigating root causes for variances.
- Pick, pack, and prepare products for dispatch, adhering to strict quality and accuracy standards.
- Liaise with the dispatch team to ensure timely and correct loading of goods for shipment.
- Monitor stock levels and report any shortages or overstocks to relevant departments.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., pallet trucks, stackers, if certified).
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics and supply chain operations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Stock Controller, Warehouse Operative, or similar role.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in record-keeping.
- Proficiency with inventory management systems (WMS/ERP) and basic computer skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Problem-solving capabilities to address inventory discrepancies and operational challenges.
