Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve a wide range of plumbing issues, from leaks and blockages to burst pipes.
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, and appliances in residential and commercial properties.
- Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify potential problems and recommend preventative maintenance.
- Perform pipework installations, including copper, plastic, and multi-layer composite pipes.
- Carry out boiler and heating system fault finding, minor repairs, and servicing (if qualified, otherwise assist).
- Provide exceptional customer service, explaining work thoroughly and clearly to clients.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, building codes, and industry best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours spent on each job.
- Manage vehicle stock and ensure tools and equipment are well-maintained and safe for use.
- Participate in an on-call rota for emergency repairs as required.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a qualified plumber.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing and Heating or equivalent.
- Full UK driving license.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in installing and repairing various plumbing systems and fixtures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to health and safety standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Gas Safe registration (if applicable for boiler work).
- Experience with advanced heating systems or renewables.
- Relevant CSCS card.
- Previous experience working in a customer-facing field service role.
