Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows Server, Linux) and server hardware.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive solutions to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Manage and administer network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, routers, and VPNs.
- Implement and enforce security policies, conduct regular security audits, and manage backups and disaster recovery plans.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, resolving IT-related incidents and service requests promptly.
- Automate routine tasks using scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) to improve efficiency and consistency.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to optimize system architecture and deploy new applications.
- Document system configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge transfer and compliance.
Required Skills
- Proven experience with Windows Server administration (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP)
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VLANs, routing, firewalls)
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware vSphere, Hyper-V)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and hybrid environments
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong analytical mindset
- Solid understanding of IT security principles and best practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
