Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Builder with a strong focus on site construction and general labour to join our growing team in Chorlton-cum-Hardy, Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to a diverse range of building projects, from residential developments to commercial renovations. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the structural integrity, safety, and aesthetic quality of our construction sites. We are looking for an individual who is not only proficient in various building techniques but also possesses a solid work ethic, is safety-conscious, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities
- Execute general building tasks including bricklaying, plastering, carpentry, and groundwork as per project specifications.
- Perform site preparation, clearing, and maintenance duties to ensure a safe and organized work area.
- Operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Assist with the loading, unloading, and transportation of construction materials and equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics to ensure accurate construction.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.
- Collaborate effectively with site managers, foremen, and other team members to meet project deadlines.
- Identify and report any potential hazards or issues on site promptly.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in general building and construction labour.
- Proficiency in basic carpentry, bricklaying, and plastering techniques.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety protocols.
- Ability to operate common power tools and equipment safely.
- Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Valid CSCS Card.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or higher in Bricklaying, Carpentry, or a related construction trade.
- First Aid certification is a plus.
- Driving license with access to own transport.
