Key Responsibilities
- Perform general farm duties including planting, cultivating, irrigating, and harvesting crops (vegetables, fruits, hay).
- Assist with the care and feeding of livestock, including cattle, poultry, or other farm animals, ensuring their health and well-being.
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment such as tractors, tillers, and harvesters.
- Participate in the maintenance of farm infrastructure, including fencing, barns, and irrigation systems.
- Monitor crop and animal health, reporting any concerns or abnormalities to the farm manager.
- Assist with pest and weed control using appropriate and safe methods.
- Prepare produce for market, including washing, sorting, and packaging.
- Adhere strictly to all farm safety protocols and health regulations.
- Undertake manual labor tasks as required, including lifting heavy objects, bending, and stooping.
- Contribute to a positive and cooperative working environment with fellow farmhands and management.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Basic understanding of agricultural principles or a strong willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team.
- Punctual and dependable.
