Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively generate new leads and cultivate existing client relationships through various sales activities including networking, referrals, and direct outreach.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments with potential and existing clients to identify their specific insurance requirements (e.g., life, health, property, motor, commercial).
  • Present, explain, and sell suitable insurance policies, ensuring clients fully understand the terms, benefits, and coverage options.
  • Assist clients diligently through the claims process, providing clear communication, gathering necessary documentation, and liaising with adjusters to ensure a smooth and timely resolution.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and sales activities using CRM software, ensuring compliance with all company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay informed about new insurance products, market trends, and industry regulations to provide the most current and relevant advice to clients.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development programs to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets, contributing to the overall growth and success of the team.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, building trust and fostering long-term client loyalty.

Required Skills

  • Proven track record in sales, preferably in a commission-based environment, demonstrating strong closing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly and effectively.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities.
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, and capable of working independently to achieve goals.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation with a keen eye for client satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite, CRM software).
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle for client visits and outreach within Kingston.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience as an Insurance Agent or Financial Advisor.
  • Relevant certifications or licenses in insurance (e.g., LUTC, CIS – if applicable in Jamaica).
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
