Key Responsibilities
- Execute daily cleaning tasks for all kitchen areas, including floors, work surfaces, and kitchen equipment, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Operate and maintain dishwashing machinery, including loading, unloading, and ensuring all crockery, cutlery, and glassware are immaculately clean.
- Assist with the receiving, checking, and storage of deliveries, ensuring stock is rotated efficiently and stored in appropriate locations.
- Monitor and manage stock levels of cleaning supplies and kitchen essentials, reporting needs to the kitchen manager.
- Dispose of waste materials responsibly, ensuring bins are emptied regularly and recycling protocols are followed.
- Support the culinary team with basic food preparation tasks when required, such as peeling vegetables or portioning ingredients.
- Maintain a tidy and organised dry store, refrigeration units, and freezer areas.
- Report any maintenance issues or faulty equipment promptly to management.
- Adhere to all food hygiene and safety standards at all times.
