We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Classroom Aide Student Support professional to join their dynamic team. This pivotal role involves providing essential support to teachers and students, contributing significantly to a positive and effective learning atmosphere. As a Classroom Aide, you will work directly with students, offering individual and small-group assistance, ensuring they have the resources and encouragement needed to thrive academically and socially. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one and small group academic support to students under the guidance of the classroom teacher.
  • Assist teachers in preparing instructional materials, setting up classrooms, and organizing learning resources.
  • Help supervise students during classroom activities, playtime, lunch, and other school events, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Reinforce positive behavior and classroom rules, assisting in maintaining a calm and orderly learning environment.
  • Monitor student progress and report observations to the classroom teacher regarding academic performance and behavioral patterns.
  • Assist students with special needs, including physical, emotional, or learning disabilities, as directed by the teacher and individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Support classroom administrative tasks such as taking attendance, organizing student work, and filing.
  • Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and parents/guardians when necessary and appropriate.
  • Participate in school meetings, professional development, and training sessions as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student information and adhere to school policies and procedures.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of a Certificate or Diploma in Education, Early Childhood Development, Psychology, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of proven experience working with children or adolescents in an educational or youth support setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting student learning and development.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer proficiency for administrative tasks.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations or students with special needs.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Familiarity with various teaching methodologies and educational technology.
