Key Responsibilities

  • Assist bartenders with drink preparation, including squeezing juices, cutting garnishes, and preparing mixers.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including wiping counters, cleaning spills, and washing glassware.
  • Restock bar supplies such as bottles, ice, napkins, and straws throughout shifts, ensuring continuous availability.
  • Ensure all necessary bar equipment is clean, functional, and readily available for service.
  • Assist with inventory counts and communicate stock levels to bartenders or supervisors to prevent shortages.
  • Empty trash receptacles and maintain hygiene standards behind the bar, adhering to all health codes.
  • Help maintain a positive, welcoming, and professional atmosphere for guests and team members.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations and company policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Bartender or Manager to support bar operations.

Required Skills

  • No prior bartending experience required (entry-level opportunity).
  • Strong work ethic and a proactive, can-do attitude.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable and punctual, with a commitment to consistent attendance.

  • Legal eligibility to work in Mozambique.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent educational background.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or general hospitality role (e.g., waiter, busser).
  • Basic knowledge of different types of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and a working knowledge of English to assist a diverse clientele.
