Career.zycto is on the lookout for a highly skilled and motivated Logistics Coordinator to join our vibrant team in Manor Park, Kingston. This professional role is central to our operational success, ensuring the seamless flow of goods from our warehouse to our valued customers across Jamaica. You will be the linchpin in managing the intricate details of our supply chain, from inventory oversight and warehouse organization to coordinating efficient delivery schedules and optimizing transport routes. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations, including warehousing, inventory management, and transportation.
- Oversee the scheduling and dispatch of deliveries, ensuring timely and cost-effective distribution of goods.
- Manage warehouse inventory, conducting regular stock counts, reconciliation, and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Optimize delivery routes and methods to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Liaise with suppliers, transporters, and internal departments to resolve any logistical issues or discrepancies.
- Prepare and process shipping documents, invoices, and other administrative paperwork related to logistics.
- Monitor performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to optimize logistics processes.
- Ensure compliance with all local and international transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other logistics software to track shipments and manage data.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or similar role in a warehouse & delivery environment.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with diverse teams.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management (e.g., CPL, CSCP).
- Experience with route optimization software.
- Knowledge of Jamaican customs regulations and import/export procedures.
