Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and professional Driver to join our growing logistics and delivery team in St. Andrew, Jamaica. This vital role involves the safe and timely transportation of goods, materials, and products to various locations, ensuring customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate company-provided vehicles for the transportation of goods and materials.
- Adhere to assigned delivery schedules and routes, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, reporting any maintenance issues or damage promptly.
- Load and unload goods carefully, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
- Verify accuracy of delivery manifests against items loaded and delivered, obtaining necessary signatures.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with dispatch, clients, and team members.
- Comply with all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company driving policies.
- Handle delivery documentation, including invoices, delivery notes, and other relevant paperwork.
- Maintain cleanliness and good operating condition of the company vehicle.
- Assist with warehouse duties or other tasks as needed, when not actively on delivery routes.
Required Skills
- Valid General Driver's License (preferably with F endorsement)
- Minimum of 2 years professional driving experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations
- Excellent knowledge of St. Andrew and surrounding areas
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy packages (up to 50 lbs)
- Punctual, reliable, and highly organized
- Commitment to safety and adherence to traffic laws
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience with GPS navigation systems and delivery apps
- Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
- Customer service experience in a delivery or logistics context
