Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and dispatch delivery vehicles and personnel efficiently across Chelsea and broader London.
- Monitor real-time delivery progress and adjust routes as necessary to mitigate delays and unforeseen issues.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal departments regarding delivery schedules, changes, and potential problems.
- Utilise dispatch software and GPS tracking systems to optimise routes and track vehicle locations.
- Resolve operational discrepancies, vehicle breakdowns, and driver issues promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, driver logs, and operational data.
- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
- Prepare daily reports on delivery performance, challenges, and resolutions.
- Assist in the onboarding and ongoing training of new drivers regarding dispatch procedures and route management.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a dispatcher or transport control role, preferably within a fast-paced delivery environment.
- Exceptional geographical knowledge of London, particularly the Chelsea area and surrounding boroughs.
- Proficiency in dispatch software, GPS tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
