Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial client consultations to ascertain needs, preferences, and budgetary parameters for both wedding and corporate events.
- Develop creative event concepts, detailed proposals, and comprehensive event designs.
- Manage event budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
- Identify, source, negotiate with, and manage a diverse range of vendors (venues, caterers, decorators, photographers, entertainment, A/V, etc.).
- Create and manage detailed timelines, logistical plans, and critical path schedules for all event components.
- Oversee all on-site event setup, coordination, and breakdown, ensuring smooth execution.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and vendors throughout the planning and execution phases.
- Proactively identify and resolve potential issues and challenges with composure and efficiency.
- Conduct post-event evaluations, gather client feedback, and analyze event success metrics.
- Continuously market your services and build a network to secure new freelance event opportunities.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in event planning, with a strong portfolio in both wedding and corporate events.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
