Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary healthcare services to patients of all ages, covering acute and chronic conditions.
- Conduct thorough patient examinations, accurately diagnose illnesses, and prescribe appropriate treatments.
- Manage and coordinate patient care, including referrals to secondary care and specialist services when necessary.
- Offer specialist consultations and support within your accredited area of expertise.
- Perform minor surgical procedures and other relevant clinical interventions as required.
- Ensure meticulous and timely documentation of all patient interactions, medical records, and administrative tasks.
- Actively participate in preventative health programs, health promotion initiatives, and patient education.
- Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team, including nurses, allied health professionals, and administrative staff.
- Adhere strictly to all clinical guidelines, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements set by the General Medical Council (GMC) and local health authorities.
- Engage actively in continuous professional development, training, and revalidation activities to maintain and enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Required Skills
- Full GMC Registration with a licence to practice.
- Inclusion on the GMC GP Register (CCT or equivalent) for General Practitioner roles.
- Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making abilities with a patient-centred approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathise and build rapport with diverse patient groups.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other clinical IT applications.

- Up-to-date knowledge of current clinical best practices and national guidelines across primary and relevant specialist care.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional postgraduate qualifications or specialist fellowships relevant to primary care (e.g., MRCP, MRCGP, FRCS, Diploma in Dermatology, etc.).
- Experience with specific specialist areas relevant to primary care (e.g., Dermatology, Minor Surgery, Paediatrics, Women's Health, Cardiology).
- Proven experience working in a diverse urban clinical setting, preferably within the NHS or private healthcare in London.
- Familiarity with local health pathways and referral systems within the London Boroughs.
- Ability to speak additional languages, reflecting the diverse population of Maida Vale.
- Experience in clinical leadership or mentoring junior colleagues.
