Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a meticulous and imaginative Editor to join our vibrant content team in Spitalfields, London. This pivotal role involves overseeing the editorial quality and strategic impact of all our published materials, ranging from thought leadership articles and industry reports to marketing collateral, website copy, and internal communications. You will be instrumental in maintaining our brand voice, upholding editorial standards, and ensuring all content is accurate, engaging, and relevant to our diverse audience of job seekers, employers, and industry professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit and proofread a wide range of content, including articles, blog posts, whitepapers, social media copy, website content, and marketing materials, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive style guides and editorial standards, ensuring all content adheres to brand voice and grammatical excellence.
  • Collaborate with content creators, subject matter experts, and marketing teams to refine ideas, structure narratives, and enhance readability and engagement.
  • Conduct thorough fact-checking and research to verify information and ensure the credibility of all published materials.
  • Provide constructive feedback to writers and contribute to their professional development.
  • Optimise content for SEO and digital platforms where appropriate, working closely with the digital marketing team.
  • Manage editorial calendars and deadlines, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality content.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends in media, publishing, and recruitment to inform content strategy and execution.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional command of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Proven experience as an Editor in a media, publishing, or corporate content environment (3+ years).
  • Strong understanding of editorial best practices and content creation workflows.
  • Ability to adapt writing style and tone for different audiences and platforms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear and constructive feedback.
  • Proficiency with content management systems (CMS) and project management tools.
  • High level of attention to detail and organisational skills.
