Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate trains according to regulations, timetables, and instructions.
- Conduct thorough pre-departure inspections of all train systems and safety equipment.
- Monitor train performance, making adjustments to maintain schedule and ensure security.
- Communicate effectively with control centers, station personnel, and onboard crew.
- Manage onboard incidents, including emergencies or technical faults, following protocols.
- Strictly adhere to all railway safety procedures, signals, and rules.
- Accurately complete operational reports and required documentation.
- Provide excellent customer service, including announcements, when interacting with passengers.
Required Skills
- Valid German Train Conductor (Triebfahrzeugführer) qualification.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience.
- In-depth knowledge of German railway regulations (EBO, VDV).
- Fluent German communication skills (C1+).
- Exceptional attention to detail and adherence to strict protocols.
- Proven problem-solving and calm decision-making under pressure.
- High sense of responsibility and unwavering commitment to safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with diverse train types (passenger, freight, regional).
- Proficiency in English.
