Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Logistics Coordinator with a strong focus on warehouse management and delivery operations to join our client’s team in Waterford, Portmore. As a pivotal member of the supply chain, you will be responsible for orchestrating the efficient flow of goods from receiving to dispatch, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities, ensuring timely and accurate delivery schedules.
  • Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock counts, and reconcile discrepancies to maintain data integrity.
  • Liaise with suppliers, transporters, and internal departments to facilitate smooth and efficient movement of products.
  • Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including invoices, waybills, and customs forms.
  • Implement and enforce health, safety, and security standards within the warehouse environment.
  • Utilize inventory management systems (IMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software to track and report on logistics performance.
  • Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement and implement optimization strategies.
  • Manage a team of warehouse staff and delivery personnel, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues related to deliveries and logistics promptly and professionally.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or similar role with a strong focus on warehouse and delivery.
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain processes and logistics best practices.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software (IMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management (e.g., CILT).
  • Experience with ERP systems specific to logistics and warehouse management.
  • Knowledge of local transportation regulations and customs procedures in Jamaica.
  • Forklift operation certification.
