Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming merchandise for accuracy and damages, documenting discrepancies.
- Sort and organize products efficiently within the designated storage areas, ensuring proper rotation and accessibility.
- Pick and prepare merchandise for transfer to the sales floor or other departments according to established procedures.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment activities, ensuring data accuracy.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks (manual) safely and efficiently, if trained and authorized.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the distribution area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Assist customers with loading purchases into their vehicles when required, providing excellent service.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support overall warehouse and store operations.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs) regularly and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling merchandise.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, retail, or distribution environment.
