Job Description
This role is for a highly creative and technically proficient Freelance Photographer specializing in both Event and Commercial photography, based in Bog Walk, St. Catherine. We are seeking a passionate visual storyteller who possesses a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of composition, and the technical expertise to deliver outstanding imagery consistently. As a key creative partner, you will be instrumental in capturing the essence of various events – from corporate gatherings and private celebrations to community festivals – ensuring every significant moment is beautifully preserved.
Beyond events, your portfolio will expand to include diverse commercial projects. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements, vision, and desired outcomes for both event and commercial shoots.
- Plan and prepare for shoots, including scouting locations, ensuring appropriate equipment is available, and developing shot lists/storyboards.
- Execute professional photography on-site at various events (e.g., conferences, weddings, parties) and commercial locations (e.g., studios, businesses, outdoors).
- Utilize advanced lighting techniques, camera settings, and composition principles to capture high-quality, impactful images.
- Perform extensive post-production editing, including culling, color correction, retouching, and cropping, using industry-standard software.
- Manage and organize digital assets, ensuring efficient workflow and secure storage of all photographic materials.
- Deliver final edited images to clients within agreed-upon deadlines, adhering to specified formats and resolutions.
- Maintain and care for photography equipment, ensuring it is in excellent working condition for every assignment.
- Network and build relationships with potential clients and industry professionals to foster new business opportunities.
- Stay updated with current photography trends, techniques, and software advancements.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in professional DSLR/mirrorless camera systems and lenses
- Expertise in studio and natural lighting techniques
