Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a company-provided vehicle for the transport of goods and materials.
- Plan and execute delivery routes to ensure timely and accurate deliveries within Riversdale and surrounding St. Catherine areas.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain a detailed log of deliveries, vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents encountered on the road.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance needs or issues promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company driving policies.
- Interact professionally and courteously with clients, representing Career.zycto with a positive attitude.
- Assist with warehouse duties or other operational tasks as needed when not on delivery routes.
Required Skills
- Valid General Driver's License (Class C or equivalent)
- Clean driving record (no major violations in the past 3 years)
- Proven experience in commercial driving or logistics delivery
- Excellent knowledge of Riversdale and St. Catherine road networks
- Strong time management and organizational abilities
- Ability to lift and move packages of varying weights
- Good communication and customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Defensive driving certification
- Experience with GPS navigation systems and route optimization software
- Prior experience in a similar role within a logistics or distribution company
