Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Monitoring & Evaluation Analyst with a strong focus on Field Data to join our growing team in Wembley, London. This pivotal role is central to our mission of delivering impactful programs by ensuring robust data collection, analysis, and reporting from our field operations. As a Monitoring & Evaluation Analyst, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and managing M&E frameworks and systems that capture the effectiveness and impact of our initiatives across various geographical contexts.

Your primary responsibility will involve working closely with field teams to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timely submission of program data. This includes developing and refining data collection tools, providing technical assistance and training to field staff on M&E best practices, and conducting thorough data quality assessments. You will transform raw field data into compelling evidence and actionable insights through rigorous analysis, contributing directly to strategic decision-making and program improvements. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement robust M&E plans, frameworks, and indicators for various programs, with a strong emphasis on field-level data collection.
  • Design and pilot data collection tools and methodologies (e.g., surveys, focus group discussions, interviews) suitable for field environments, ensuring cultural sensitivity and relevance.
  • Manage and maintain M&E databases, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and security, performing regular data quality checks and validation processes.
  • Provide technical support, training, and capacity building to field staff on M&E concepts, data collection techniques, and tool usage (e.g., ODK, KoboToolbox).
  • Conduct rigorous quantitative and qualitative data analysis, interpreting findings to assess program performance, outcomes, and impact.
  • Prepare comprehensive M&E reports, dashboards, presentations, and learning documents for internal stakeholders, donors, and partners.
  • Contribute to the development of research designs and methodologies for baseline, midline, and endline studies.
  • Facilitate learning events, workshops, and reflection sessions to share M&E findings, best practices, and lessons learned across teams.
  • Stay abreast of global M&E trends, tools, and best practices, integrating innovative approaches into Career.zycto's M&E system.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (3+ years) in Monitoring & Evaluation roles, with significant exposure to field data management.
  • Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., R, SPSS, Stata) and advanced Excel.
  • Demonstrable experience in designing and implementing quantitative and qualitative data collection tools.
  • Familiarity with mobile data collection platforms such as ODK, KoboToolbox, SurveyCTO, or similar.
  • Excellent report writing, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex M&E findings clearly.
  • Solid understanding of M&E principles, theories of change, logical frameworks, and impact assessment methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in International Development, Social Sciences, Statistics, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Experience working with international development organisations or NGOs.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Proficiency in an additional language relevant to international development (e.g., French, Spanish, Arabic).
