Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and process returned merchandise according to established company policies and procedures.
- Verify product condition, quantity, and reason for return against return authorizations and accompanying documentation.
- Accurately record all relevant information into the inventory management system, ensuring data integrity.
- Sort and categorize returned items for restock, repair, refurbishment, or disposal.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts (if certified) safely and efficiently to move products.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the returns processing area.
- Collaborate with warehouse, customer service, and quality control teams to resolve discrepancies or issues.
- Assist with periodic inventory counts and audits as required.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Prepare items for shipment back to vendors or transfer to other departments.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 6 months experience in a warehouse, logistics, or returns processing role.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills for data entry and system navigation.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation and punctuality.
