Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly motivated and experienced Driver to join our dynamic logistics and delivery team in Kellits, Clarendon. This role demands not just driving expertise but also strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will be expected to conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your assigned vehicle, ensuring it is in optimal working condition, reporting any maintenance needs promptly. Effective communication with dispatch, clients, and team members is crucial, as you will often be the direct point of contact for our customers. We are looking for someone who can navigate various routes efficiently, manage delivery schedules, and handle documentation accurately. Key Responsibilities
- Operate company-provided vehicles safely and efficiently to deliver goods to designated locations within Kellits, Clarendon, and surrounding areas.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, documenting and reporting any mechanical issues or damage.
- Load and unload cargo carefully, ensuring proper securing and handling to prevent damage during transit.
- Follow assigned delivery schedules and routes, adjusting for traffic and weather conditions as needed to ensure timely deliveries.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, manifest sheets, and other required documentation, including proof of delivery.
- Provide exceptional customer service during interactions, addressing inquiries professionally and courteously.
- Adhere strictly to all local traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and customers regarding delivery status, delays, or issues.
- Maintain the cleanliness and good condition of the company vehicle.
- Assist with warehouse duties or other tasks as assigned when not on delivery routes.
Required Skills
- Valid Jamaican General Driver's License (Class C or equivalent)
- Clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving or logistics
- Excellent knowledge of local geography and routes in Kellits, Clarendon, and surrounding parishes
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy packages (up to 50 lbs)
- Customer service orientation
- Effective communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation

- Experience with delivery route optimization software or GPS systems
