Job Description

Mokhotlong Hotel & Conference Centre is immediately seeking a dedicated Housemaid to join our dynamic team in Ha Nchela, Mokhotlong. As a Housemaid, you will be primarily responsible for ensuring that designated areas, which may include guest rooms, common areas, residential units, or other specified spaces, are consistently immaculate, organized, and inviting. Your daily tasks will encompass a comprehensive range of cleaning duties, from general upkeep such as dusting all surfaces, vacuuming carpets, mopping floors, and sanitizing bathrooms and kitchens, to more specific and essential tasks like making beds with precision, replenishing linens and amenities, and meticulously tidying spaces with a keen eye for even the smallest details. Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and polishing.
- Ensure all assigned rooms and common areas are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards of hygiene and presentation.
- Make beds, change linens, and replenish towels and room amenities as per established guidelines.
- Empty wastebaskets, service and sanitize bathrooms, and remove trash.
- Monitor and report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards immediately.
- Handle all cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor with all residents, guests, and colleagues.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Housemaid or in a similar cleaning role.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to complete tasks.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies, and how to use them safely.
- Strong attention to detail and a high standard for cleanliness.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliability and punctuality.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working in a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English or Sesotho.
