Job Description
Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly skilled and proactive Logistics Coordinator with a strong focus on warehouse operations and delivery management to join our team in Granville, Montego Bay. This professional role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth, efficient, and cost-effective flow of goods from our warehouse to our customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily logistics activities, including inventory management, order processing, dispatch scheduling, and delivery route optimization. You will play a critical role in maintaining high service standards, minimizing transit times, and ensuring accurate documentation throughout the supply chain. This position demands a meticulous individual with a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational capabilities, and a proven track record in a fast-paced logistics environment. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, dispatch, and inventory control.
- Plan and optimize delivery routes, considering factors such as cost, time, and customer service requirements.
- Liaise effectively with internal teams (sales, customer service) and external partners (drivers, suppliers) to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory records using our warehouse management system (WMS).
- Prepare all necessary shipping documentation, including invoices, packing lists, and manifests.
- Monitor fleet maintenance schedules and ensure compliance with all transport regulations.
- Identify and resolve logistics-related issues, such as delivery delays, damages, or discrepancies, promptly and efficiently.
- Generate regular reports on logistics performance, inventory levels, and delivery metrics for management review.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain management.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and transportation management systems (TMS).
- Strong understanding of inventory control principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to optimize routes and manage delivery schedules effectively.
- Advanced computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Problem-solving aptitude with a strong focus on efficiency and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management (e.g., CSCP, CLTD).
- Experience with ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or similar integrated platforms.
- Familiarity with local and international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
