In this role, your daily routine will involve more than just driving; you’ll be the face of Career.zycto, interacting with clients and ensuring their orders arrive in perfect condition and on schedule. You will be responsible for conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your assigned company vehicle, identifying and reporting any maintenance needs to ensure continuous operational safety and compliance. Managing load manifests, verifying delivery contents, and obtaining necessary signatures will also be part of your crucial tasks, demanding attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles (vans, trucks) for delivery of goods to various destinations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting and reporting any issues or defects promptly.
- Efficiently load, unload, and secure goods, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage during transit.
- Deliver goods on designated routes and schedules, adhering to time-sensitive requirements.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, manifests, and documentation, obtaining necessary signatures and verifying contents.
- Strictly adhere to all local traffic laws, regulations, and company safety policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, interacting professionally and courteously with clients.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, management, and customers regarding delivery status, delays, or issues.
- Ensure the cleanliness and routine maintenance of the company vehicle.
- Assist with warehouse tasks or other duties as assigned when not on delivery routes.
Required Skills
- Valid Jamaican General Driver's License (e.g., Class C or E)
- Clean driving record, free of major infractions for at least the past 3-5 years
- Proven knowledge of local routes and geography within Little London, Westmoreland, and surrounding parishes
- Physical stamina to lift, carry, and load packages weighing up to 50 lbs
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet delivery deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for customer interaction
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge and troubleshooting skills
- High level of responsibility and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience with GPS navigation systems and route optimization software
- Defensive driving certification or equivalent safety training
- First Aid/CPR certification
- Previous experience in a logistics or delivery role with a company vehicle
