MGC Construction is seeking a dedicated Construction Labour Helper to join our dynamic team in Linakaneng, Thaba-Tseka. This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience on various construction sites, working alongside experienced professionals and contributing to the successful completion of important projects across the region. As a Construction Labour Helper, you will be an integral part of our site operations, providing essential support to skilled tradespeople and ensuring the worksite remains safe, clean, and organized.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople (e.g., carpenters, masons, electricians) with various tasks as needed.
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from work areas.
- Prepare construction sites by cleaning debris, trash, and hazardous materials.
- Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision (e.g., shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, drills).
- Dig trenches, compact earth, and fill excavations.
- Erect and dismantle temporary structures, scaffolding, and barricades.
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with mixing and pouring concrete, mortar, and other materials.
- Perform general maintenance and upkeep of tools and equipment.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labour, including lifting heavy objects.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety procedures.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to different tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
