Job Description
Career.zycto is on the lookout for a highly skilled and dedicated Technical Writer to join our dynamic team in Edgbaston, Birmingham. In this pivotal hybrid role, you will be instrumental in translating complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and engaging documentation that empowers our users and internal teams. You will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and improving a wide array of technical content, including user manuals, online help guides, API documentation, release notes, and comprehensive training materials.

You will collaborate closely with product managers, software engineers, quality assurance testers, and customer support specialists to gather information, understand product functionality, and accurately convey technical details. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, write, and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including user guides, API documentation, online help, release notes, and FAQs.
- Translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and accurate content for diverse audiences.
- Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and support teams to gather information and ensure technical accuracy.
- Standardize content across platforms and media, ensuring consistency in terminology, style, and tone.
- Manage the documentation lifecycle from planning and creation to review, publication, and maintenance.
- Proactively identify gaps in existing documentation and recommend improvements.
- Participate in product planning and review meetings to understand new features and updates.
- Contribute to the development of training materials and internal knowledge bases.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (2+ years) as a Technical Writer in a software or technology environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong ability to grasp complex technical concepts and present them clearly.
- Proficiency with documentation tools (e.g., Confluence, Markdown, Git, Sphinx, MadCap Flare, Oxygen XML).
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy and consistency.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Communication, Computer Science, or a related field.
