Key Responsibilities
- Accurately sort incoming parcels based on destination, size, and type.
- Efficiently bag and package various parcels, ensuring proper sealing and security for transit.
- Apply appropriate labels, tags, and shipping information to parcels and bags.
- Perform quality checks on packaged items to identify and report any damaged or improperly prepared goods.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment as needed (e.g., hand trucks, pallet jacks), following safety protocols.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure operational targets are met.
- Assist with other general warehouse duties as required.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs (23 kg) regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in sorting and labelling.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
