Career.zycto is seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Freelance Photographer specializing in both event and commercial photography to join our talent network in Half Way Tree, Kingston. As a freelance photographer, you will be instrumental in helping our clients tell their stories visually, enhancing their brand presence, and creating lasting memories. Key Responsibilities
- Plan, set up, and execute photography sessions for various events (e.g., conferences, parties, product launches) and commercial projects (e.g., product shots, corporate headshots, advertising campaigns).
- Capture high-quality images that align with client briefs, brand guidelines, and project objectives.
- Utilize professional-grade photography equipment, lighting, and software to produce exceptional visual content.
- Perform post-production tasks including culling, editing, retouching, and colour correction to a high standard.
- Manage and organize image files efficiently, ensuring timely delivery to clients.
- Collaborate effectively with clients and project managers to understand requirements and deliver desired outcomes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of photography trends, techniques, and equipment.
- Ensure all photographic assignments are executed with professionalism, punctuality, and adherence to ethical standards.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Photographer with a strong portfolio showcasing both event and commercial work.
- Proficiency with professional DSLR/mirrorless camera systems, lenses, and lighting equipment.
- Expertise in photo editing software (e.g., Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop).
- Strong understanding of composition, lighting, and colour theory.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
- Own reliable transportation and equipment suitable for professional assignments.
- Legal right to work as a freelancer in Jamaica.
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal qualification or degree in Photography, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- Experience with videography and video editing is a plus.
