Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and organized Warehouse Clerk to join our dynamic team in Ha ‘Mamathe, Mafeteng. This pivotal role is essential to the smooth operation of our supply chain, ensuring that all inventory movements are accurately recorded, products are stored efficiently, and dispatch processes are handled with precision. Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against invoices and purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and reporting discrepancies.
  • Organize and store inventory in designated locations, optimizing space utilization and ensuring easy accessibility.
  • Prepare and stage outgoing orders for dispatch, ensuring all items are correctly picked, packed, and labeled.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using the company’s inventory management system, performing regular cycle counts and assisting with annual physical inventories.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently (certification preferred).
  • Monitor stock levels and report low stock or potential shortages to the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering to all company safety protocols and procedures.
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks, ensuring proper handling of goods to prevent damage.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including production, sales, and logistics, to ensure seamless flow of goods.
  • Perform general warehouse duties as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor or Management.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including experience with inventory management software or systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and inventory management.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 25kg, standing for extended periods, and operating warehouse equipment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a demanding environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; a post-secondary certificate in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
  • Forklift operator certification and experience.
  • Prior experience in the food processing or manufacturing industry.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a warehouse setting.
