Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and professional Driver – Logistics & Delivery to join our dynamic team in Barbican, Kingston. This crucial role involves operating a company-provided vehicle to ensure the safe, efficient, and timely transportation of goods across various locations within Kingston and surrounding areas. You will be an integral part of our supply chain, directly contributing to our reputation for reliability and customer satisfaction.

As a frontline ambassador for Career.zycto, you’ll manage your daily routes with precision, adhering to all traffic laws and company safety policies. Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a company vehicle safely and efficiently for the delivery and pickup of goods.
  • Plan and execute daily delivery routes in the most efficient manner, considering traffic and time constraints.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
  • Ensure accurate loading, unloading, and secure transportation of goods, preventing damage or loss.
  • Maintain precise records of deliveries, pickups, vehicle mileage, and fuel consumption.
  • Provide exceptional customer service during interactions at delivery and pickup locations.
  • Adhere strictly to all Jamaican traffic laws, company safety policies, and transportation regulations.
  • Keep the company vehicle clean and tidy, reflecting professionalism.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, management, and customers regarding delivery status or issues.

Required Skills

  • Valid General Driver's License (Class C or equivalent for light/medium goods vehicles)
  • Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience
  • Clean driving record with no major violations
  • Excellent geographical knowledge of Kingston and surrounding parishes
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift and move packages of varying weights (up to 50 lbs)
  • Customer service-oriented attitude and strong communication skills
  • Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge (e.g., checking fluids, tire pressure)

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certification in Defensive Driving
  • Experience with route optimization software or GPS systems
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory procedures
