As a freelance Photographer partnering with Career.zycto, you will be responsible for executing a wide range of photography assignments, from vibrant corporate events, social gatherings, and public festivals to sophisticated commercial product shoots, compelling lifestyle imagery, and impactful branding campaigns. You will work independently on assigned projects, managing your equipment, creative process, and post-production workflow to ensure stunning final deliverables. Key Responsibilities
- Plan, set up, and execute photography shoots for a diverse range of events including corporate functions, private parties, concerts, and public gatherings.
- Fulfill commercial photography briefs, including product photography, lifestyle shoots, corporate portraits, and branding campaigns, ensuring brand consistency and client vision are met.
- Manage and operate professional photography equipment, including cameras, lenses, lighting systems, and accessories.
- Perform advanced post-production tasks, including culling, colour correction, retouching, and image manipulation using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop).
- Liaise directly with clients to understand project requirements, provide creative input, and ensure satisfaction with final deliverables.
- Adhere to project timelines and deliver edited photographs within agreed-upon deadlines.
- Maintain a comprehensive and organized digital archive of all photographic assets.
- Proactively seek out new creative techniques and stay updated with industry trends to enhance photographic services.
Required Skills
- Proficiency with professional-grade DSLR/Mirrorless cameras and a variety of lenses.
- Expertise in studio lighting, natural lighting, and flash photography techniques.
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom for photo editing and retouching.
- Strong compositional skills, understanding of colour theory, and visual storytelling.
- Demonstrable portfolio showcasing a diverse range of event and commercial photography work.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
- Own reliable transportation and professional-grade photography equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Photography, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- Experience with videography and video editing is a significant plus.
- Familiarity with drone photography for aerial shots.
- Prior experience working with diverse clients and agencies in the Jamaican market.
