Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize chemical processes and equipment, focusing on efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.
- Conduct pilot plant studies and scale-up operations from laboratory to commercial production.
- Perform process simulations, mass and energy balances, and feasibility studies using specialized software.
- Analyze process data, identify bottlenecks, troubleshoot operational issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and quality standards (e.g., ISO, GMP).
- Collaborate with R&D, production, quality control, and maintenance teams to achieve project objectives.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports, process documentation, and operational manuals.
- Contribute to capital project planning, execution, and commissioning.
- Research and evaluate new technologies, materials, and methodologies to enhance process performance and product quality.
Required Skills
- Strong foundation in chemical engineering principles (thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat/mass transfer, reaction kinetics).
- Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Hysys, gPROMS, ChemCAD).
- Demonstrated ability in data analysis, interpretation, and statistical process control.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience with process instrumentation and control systems.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Project management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- Fluency in German (B2 level or higher) is highly advantageous for daily operations and team collaboration.
