Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a passionate and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our growing team in Frankfurt am Main. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be instrumental in bridging the gap between development and operations, fostering a culture of continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), and automation. You will work closely with our software development teams to streamline deployment pipelines, optimize performance, and ensure the stability and availability of our critical applications. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for various applications, ensuring rapid and reliable software deployments.
  • Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) including resource provisioning, monitoring, and cost management.
  • Automate operational tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
  • Implement and maintain robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure high availability and performance of applications and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate security best practices into the development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and application issues in production and non-production environments.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our infrastructure, tools, and processes, identifying areas for automation and optimization.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to provide support for critical systems and ensure minimal downtime.
  • Document existing and newly implemented systems, configurations, and procedures to maintain comprehensive knowledge sharing.

Required Skills

  • Strong experience (3+ years) with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
  • Solid understanding of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk).
  • Proficiency with Linux operating systems and command-line tools.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, Load Balancing).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert).
  • Experience with microservices architecture and serverless computing.
  • Knowledge of database systems (SQL and NoSQL, e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  • Experience with version control systems (Git) and GitOps principles.
  • Familiarity with security best practices and tools (e.g., vulnerability scanning, secret management).
