Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on oil and gas production and processing equipment, including pumps, compressors, valves, pipelines, and control systems.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostic tests to identify faults, malfunctions, and potential issues in mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems.
  • Execute emergency repairs and troubleshoot complex operational problems efficiently to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
  • Install, calibrate, and maintain various instruments, sensors, and control devices critical to oil and gas operations.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, industry regulations, and environmental standards (e.g., ATEX, DGUV).
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and equipment performance data.
  • Collaborate with engineers, operators, and other technicians to optimize system performance and implement technical solutions.
  • Prepare detailed reports on equipment status, repair procedures, and maintenance schedules.
  • Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Operate and maintain specialized tools and equipment safely and effectively.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation maintenance within the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs.
  • Solid troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for complex equipment issues.
  • Excellent knowledge of safety protocols and procedures relevant to oil and gas operations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in challenging field environments.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certification in electrical, mechanical, or instrumentation technology (e.g., IHK Facharbeiterbrief).
  • Experience with SCADA systems and PLCs.
  • Knowledge of German industrial safety standards and regulations.
  • Experience with predictive maintenance technologies.
  • First aid and fire safety certifications.
