Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on oil and gas production and processing equipment, including pumps, compressors, valves, pipelines, and control systems.
- Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostic tests to identify faults, malfunctions, and potential issues in mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems.
- Execute emergency repairs and troubleshoot complex operational problems efficiently to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
- Install, calibrate, and maintain various instruments, sensors, and control devices critical to oil and gas operations.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, industry regulations, and environmental standards (e.g., ATEX, DGUV).
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and equipment performance data.
- Collaborate with engineers, operators, and other technicians to optimize system performance and implement technical solutions.
- Prepare detailed reports on equipment status, repair procedures, and maintenance schedules.
- Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Operate and maintain specialized tools and equipment safely and effectively.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation maintenance within the oil and gas industry.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs.
- Solid troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for complex equipment issues.
- Excellent knowledge of safety protocols and procedures relevant to oil and gas operations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in challenging field environments.
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification in electrical, mechanical, or instrumentation technology (e.g., IHK Facharbeiterbrief).
