Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation, setup, and elegant presentation of food and beverage items for various catering events and accommodation services.
- Ensure all catering equipment, utensils, and serving areas are meticulously cleaned, organized, and maintained to the highest hygiene and safety standards.
- Provide exceptional, proactive customer service to guests, anticipating needs and responding promptly and courteously to all requests.
- Support the logistical arrangements for accommodation services, including accurate inventory management of supplies and guest amenities.
- Aid in the coordination and seamless setup for sponsorship events, ensuring all branding and client-specific requirements are met with precision.
- Efficiently clear tables, wash dishes, and assist with general kitchen and back-of-house duties as required to maintain operational flow.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety, health, and safety regulations, policies, and procedures at all times.
- Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with the catering and events team to ensure flawless event execution.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling effectively, contributing to our environmental responsibility initiatives.
- Handle special requests and adapt to changing event needs or unforeseen circumstances with a positive, flexible, and problem-solving attitude.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in a catering, hospitality, or food service environment.
- Strong understanding and application of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Excellent customer service and strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively and maintain composure in a fast-paced, high-pressure, and dynamic environment.
- Proven reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy trays, equipment, and supplies (up to 50 lbs).
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as dictated by event schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent secondary education.
- Current Food Handler's permit or ability to obtain one upon hire.
- Experience with event setup, breakdown, and specific decoration techniques.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management and stock rotation.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for occasional off-site event support.
