Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare samples, reagents, and solutions accurately for experimental procedures.
  • Conduct routine laboratory tests and analyses following established SOPs and safety guidelines.
  • Operate, calibrate, and perform basic maintenance on laboratory equipment and instruments (e.g., pH meters, centrifuges, spectrophotometers).
  • Accurately record, organize, and manage experimental data and observations in lab notebooks and digital systems.
  • Perform quality control checks on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
  • Assist senior researchers in troubleshooting experimental issues and equipment malfunctions.
  • Adhere strictly to all laboratory safety protocols, good laboratory practices (GLP), and company regulations.
  • Manage inventory of laboratory supplies, chemicals, and consumables, initiating procurement requests as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including proper waste disposal.
  • Collaborate effectively with senior scientists, chemists, and other team members on ongoing research projects.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the interpretation and preliminary presentation of experimental results.

Required Skills

  • Strong foundational knowledge of scientific principles (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry).
  • Proficiency in basic laboratory techniques (e.g., accurate pipetting, weighing, solution preparation, sterile technique).
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in all tasks.
  • Ability to follow complex written and verbal instructions and protocols precisely.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) for data entry and documentation.

  • Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and ISO standards.
  • Experience with specific analytical instruments relevant to R&D (e.g., HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV-Vis spectrophotometers).
  • Basic understanding of statistical analysis for experimental data interpretation.
