Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Worker to join our team, focusing on essential repairs and fixing tasks across our Kelvinbridge, Glasgow premises and potentially client sites. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections of facilities, identifying and addressing maintenance needs proactively.
  • Execute repairs and maintenance tasks across various disciplines including plumbing, basic electrical, carpentry, and general building fabric.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency call-outs, diagnosing issues and implementing effective solutions.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including repairs, parts used, and time spent.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Manage and organize tools, equipment, and materials, ensuring they are stored safely and efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, management, and external contractors.
  • Assist with minor renovations, installations, and assembly tasks as required.
  • Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization within work areas.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Worker or similar role.
  • Proficiency in general repairs including plumbing, basic electrical, and carpentry.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations pertinent to facility maintenance.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant vocational qualification or certification in a trade (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry).
  • Experience with HVAC systems.
