Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior bakers with the preparation of ingredients, including measuring, mixing, and scaling various components.
- Learn and practice fundamental baking techniques such as dough handling, shaping, proofing, and decorating.
- Operate and clean bakery equipment, including mixers, ovens, and other tools, following strict safety guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all food safety and hygiene standards are met.
- Package and label finished bakery products for display and sale.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting shortages to the head baker.
- Receive and properly store incoming deliveries of fresh ingredients and dry goods.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
- Support front-of-house staff by ensuring products are stocked and displayed attractively.
