Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial psychosocial assessments to determine client needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide individual, couple, family, and group counseling using evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
- Facilitate therapeutic interventions for a wide range of mental health conditions including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and relationship issues.
- Monitor client progress, evaluate treatment effectiveness, and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date client records in compliance with professional and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to ensure holistic client care and appropriate referrals.
- Participate in regular clinical supervision, team meetings, and professional development activities.
- Provide crisis intervention and support when necessary, adhering to safety protocols.
- Educate clients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Adhere strictly to ethical guidelines, professional boundaries, and confidentiality policies.
Required Skills
- Master's degree or higher in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related mental health field.
- Full registration or accreditation with a recognized professional body in the UK (e.g., BACP, BABCP, COSCA, UKCP).
- Proven experience in delivering counseling and psychotherapy services to diverse client populations.
- Demonstrable knowledge of various therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, Psychodynamic, Person-Centred).
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in maintaining clinical documentation and case management.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within a community mental health setting.
- Specialized training or certification in specific therapeutic areas (e.g., trauma-informed care, addiction, family therapy).
