Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare network, serving individuals within the vibrant Hillington, Glasgow community. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments, including functional, cognitive, and environmental evaluations.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualised, client-centred intervention plans based on assessment findings and patient goals.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions, adaptive equipment recommendations, and environmental modifications to enhance functional independence.
  • Educate patients, families, and carers on conditions, treatment plans, and strategies for managing daily activities.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary team members to ensure integrated and holistic patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with professional and organisational standards.
  • Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and continuous professional development activities.
  • Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives within the occupational therapy department.

Required Skills

  • HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist
  • BSc/MSc in Occupational Therapy
  • Demonstrable experience in conducting occupational therapy assessments and interventions
  • Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Proficiency in documentation and record-keeping

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-graduate training or specialist experience in a specific area (e.g., neurological rehabilitation, mental health, paediatrics)
  • Experience working within an NHS or similar public healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of local community resources and services in Glasgow
  • Full UK driving license and access to a car for home visits
