Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our growing team in Frankfield, Clarendon. This professional role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods from our warehouse to various delivery points, playing a critical part in our supply chain integrity and customer service commitment. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor logistics operations, including dispatching, routing, and tracking deliveries to ensure timely and accurate transportation of goods.
- Manage warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and system updates, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Optimize delivery routes and schedules to improve efficiency and reduce transportation costs, utilizing logistics software and mapping tools.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, suppliers, customers, and internal departments to resolve issues and provide status updates.
- Prepare and process necessary logistics documentation, such as waybills, invoices, and customs forms.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics, inventory, and delivery performance.
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures related to logistics, safety, and compliance.
- Assist in the negotiation of rates and services with carriers and logistics partners.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives within warehouse and delivery processes.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or in a similar role within warehouse and delivery operations.
- Strong knowledge of logistics software (e.g., WMS, TMS) and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with diverse teams and external partners.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
