Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough skin analyses and recommend tailored facial treatments, including cleansing, toning, exfoliation, extractions, and various masks.
- Perform a range of specialized hair and scalp treatments such as deep conditioning, restorative masks, and revitalizing scalp massages.
- Execute precise hair removal services including waxing, threading, and tinting for eyebrows and eyelashes.
- Provide expert advice on comprehensive skincare and haircare routines, recommending suitable professional products for at-home use.
- Maintain immaculate hygiene and sterilization standards for all equipment and treatment areas, adhering strictly to health and safety regulations.
- Build and nurture strong client relationships, ensuring a personalized and memorable experience to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Efficiently manage client bookings, records, and follow-up appointments using salon management software.
- Stay continuously updated with the latest industry trends, new techniques, and product innovations through ongoing training and research.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment, assisting colleagues and participating in salon promotional activities when required.
Required Skills
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Beauty Therapy (or equivalent internationally recognized qualification).
- Minimum of 1 year of proven experience in a professional salon or spa setting.
- Demonstrable proficiency in a wide array of skin treatments, including facials, basic chemical peels, and microdermabrasion.
- Competency in providing various hair treatments, excluding cutting and colouring.
- Exceptional communication, consultation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong ability to build rapport with clients and ensure a high level of client retention.
- Impeccable personal presentation, hygiene, and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Specialist certifications in advanced skincare techniques or specific professional product lines.
- Experience with popular salon management software.
