Based in Greenock, Glasgow, this full-time role offers an exciting opportunity to lead visual storytelling for a diverse range of clients, from capturing the intimate beauty of bridal narratives to producing impactful videos for businesses and brands.
As our dedicated Videographer, you will be instrumental in every stage of video production, from concept development and pre-production planning to on-site shooting and meticulous post-production. Your days will be varied, balancing the art of discreetly documenting a wedding ceremony with the strategic planning required for a corporate promotional shoot. We are looking for an individual who not only possesses technical prowess with professional camera equipment, lighting, and audio gear but also has an innate ability to connect with subjects, understand client visions, and translate them into compelling visual content.
Success in this role hinges on your ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team, managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining an impeccable standard of quality. You will be expected to bring fresh ideas to the table, leverage the latest videography techniques, and demonstrate proficiency in industry-standard editing software, particularly Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, to craft polished, engaging final products. Key Responsibilities
- Execute full lifecycle video production for wedding events, including pre-wedding shoots, ceremony, and reception.
- Develop and produce high-quality promotional videos for businesses, including concept, script, and storyboarding.
- Operate professional video cameras, lighting equipment, and audio recording devices effectively.
- Perform advanced video editing, color grading, and sound mixing using Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and other relevant software.
- Manage and maintain all videography equipment, ensuring optimal performance and readiness.
- Collaborate directly with clients to understand their vision and requirements, providing creative input and guidance.
- Oversee post-production workflow, including media management, archival, and delivery of final assets.
- Stay updated with industry trends, techniques, and technologies to continuously enhance production quality.
- Manage project timelines and deliverables to ensure timely completion of assignments.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Videographer, with a strong portfolio showcasing wedding and promotional work.
- Expertise in operating professional video cameras and associated gear (lenses, stabilizers, drones).
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop.
- Strong understanding of lighting, composition, and sound design principles.
- Excellent storytelling abilities and a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
- Exceptional client communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle for travel to various event locations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Film Production, Media Arts, or a related field.
- Experience with motion graphics and visual effects.
- Certification for drone operation (PfCO or A2 CofC).
- Familiarity with various camera systems (e.g., Sony, Canon, Panasonic).
- Experience in live event streaming or multi-camera setups.
