Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Execute photography assignments for events (e.g., corporate functions, private parties, weddings) and commercial projects (e.g., product photography, real estate, portraits, lifestyle).
- Liaise directly with clients to understand project vision, objectives, and specific photography requirements.
- Utilize professional-grade camera equipment, lenses, and lighting accessories to capture high-quality images in diverse settings.
- Perform comprehensive post-production work including culling, editing, retouching, and color correction to deliver polished final images.
- Efficiently manage image assets, ensuring proper file organization, secure backup, and timely delivery within agreed-upon deadlines.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients and our project coordinators throughout the lifecycle of each assignment.
- Adhere to brand guidelines and stylistic preferences for commercial projects, ensuring visual consistency.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, photographic techniques, and equipment advancements to continually enhance skills and service offerings.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an event and commercial photographer with a strong, diverse portfolio.
- Expert proficiency in using professional DSLR/mirrorless cameras, a range of lenses, and advanced lighting equipment.
- Advanced skills in photo editing software, particularly Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.
- Exceptional eye for composition, lighting, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of visual storytelling and branding principles for commercial applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and subjects.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and consistently meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated professional demeanor, reliability, and adaptability in various work environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Photography, Visual Arts, or a closely related creative field.
- Experience with videography and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro) is a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with drone photography/videography regulations and equipment.
- In-depth local knowledge of Tower Isle, Ocho Rios, and surrounding areas in Jamaica.
- Possession of professional photography liability insurance.
